Meet Anita

Lush Blooms started with a creative itch that Anita just couldn't ignore.

After years working in finance as a mortgage adviser, she found herself craving something more creative, hands-on, and a little less about numbers and spreadsheets. Floristry started as a hobby, with a few workshops and a lot of curiosity — and it didn't take long for Anita to realise she'd found something she really loved.

Then lockdown happened.

Furloughed from her day job, Anita started making bouquets, delivering flowers and figuring out what this little business could become. What began as a lockdown experiment quickly grew into something much bigger.

When it was time to return to finance, Anita knew she didn't want to go back.

So she didn't.

Lush Blooms has since grown into wedding floristry, a flower shop, workshops and Cardiff Flower School — all with the same belief at the heart of it: flowers should be fun, creative and anything but ordinary.

Today, Anita loves getting stuck into the fun stuff — whether that's creating showstopping wedding flowers, teaching someone to make their first bouquet or helping others find their own creative style.
